Are you interested in smart packaging*? Do you already operate on this market and seek to develop your business internationally?

Within the framework of the European project AdPack ², in partnership with 5 others clusters European representing the chain of value of the smart packaging (organic polymers, nanotechnologies, plasma, packaging and food industry), the SCS Cluster offers you a set of services and 2019 in 2018, in order to inform you and open to you the doors of international markets such as the United States, Canada or China, with inter alia:

  • Matchmaking activities with the SMEs of these others European clusters (Germany, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Czech Republic) to promote European technological co-operation in this field;
  • Training (via webinars) on internationalization and the smart packaging market in target countries outside Europe (United States, Canada and China);
  • The identification of technological and commercial partners, and the possibility of participating in prospecting missions in these countries, co-financed by the European Commission.

If you are interested in taking part in these activities, please contact guillaume.roux@aktantis.com before February 28, 2018. Further information will be sent to you on the contents of the project and the calendar.

This service is reserved for SCS Cluster members, and open to SMEs, laboratories and major groups.

* Definition of smart packaging in the AdPack2 project:

Smart packaging is a set of active packaging – which interacts with a product or its internal or external environment through a physical, biological, and/or chemical process to improve safety, preservation, and/or quality – and intelligent packaging – which can monitor and report on the condition and/or environment of a product, tracking the product through distribution and has application for package integrity, safety, quality, traceability, and verification.

Smart packaging offers a wide range of solutions for modern life. The packaging must ensure product safety, product quality, supply chain efficiency, integrity and communication between manufacturers and consumers. New packaging can substantially reduce the costs of freight and logistics and it can play an important role in protecting not only the product but also the environment. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the use of smart packaging materials. These materials include innovations such as nanofibers, nanoparticles, plasmatic coatings, smart materials for printed electronics, sensors and labels, cellulose composites, polymers, new bio-based materials and recovered fibers.
