Content-oriented networks: a new experience for content transfer.
“Content-oriented networks: a new experience for content transfer”: CONNECT will contribute to the definition and evaluation of a new paradigm for the Internet of the future: a content-centric network, CCN (Content-Centric) Network) where, rather than connecting remote hosts as IP currently does, the network directly manages the pieces of information that users want to publish, retrieve or exchange.
The project will build on existing NCC proposals in Europe and the United States, using as a starting point the proposal supported by the Van Jacobson-led PARC team (Palo Alto Research Center).
