Social Internet of Things – Apps by and for the Crowd

The Internet will inter-connect billion people and trillions of devices in a near future. For several years of the initiatives “Web-of-objects” have come out and are mainly directed towards the interactions between devices (machine-with-machine, M2M) using standard protocols of communication. Their adoption in the products and business services remains for the moment rather marginal. The challenge which project SITAC will take up is to create a unified architecture and a “ecosystem” with platforms including tools and methodologies, allowing a transparent connection and a co-operation between miscellaneous types of entities connected in network (systems, machines, sensors or human equipped with devices of pocket).
