SIM and theory of the couplings for the security of information and the communications
The bilinear applications (also known under the name of couplings) are particular functions taking in entries two points of a curve elliptic and making it possible to produce at exit an element of a suitable finished body. They make it possible today to design cryptographic mechanisms having of the properties new and considered unrealizable using the usual techniques. The objective of project SIMPATIC (SIM and theory of the couplings for the security of information and the communications) is initially to provide the secure implementation most effective possible of a coupling on a SIM card. This implementation will be then used to improve and develop new algorithms and cryptographic protocols usable in the context of mobile telephony and the SIM cards. In particular, we will concentrate on the cryptography based on the identity, the signatures short, the systems of coding allowing to carry out certain operations on the statistical data and the diagrams of signatures preserving the private life of the users. These cryptographic tools based on the couplings will be finally used to develop or improve the security of the services of mobile telephony. Two demonstrators will be finally placed at the disposal at the end of the project. We will study for example a service of SMS signed, payment per mobile phone or subscription at a mobile service.
