SDN Controllers Distributed for complex and elastic network services
Software Defined Networking (SDN) represents a radical change in the way networks are architected, built and operated. The SDN allows the opening of traditionally closed networks to foster competition and innovation on some historically intractable issues. It represents a promising network revolution by decoupling the control plane from the data plane, which then becomes directly programmable. The DISCO project (Distributed SDN Controllers for Complex and Elastic Network Services) proposes to explore how the SDN changes the monitoring, control, and urbanization of network functions.
