Connect, via NFC modules, embedded systems to smartphones.
The IoTize project, labeled by the SCS Clusters and Minalogic, aims at connecting, by modules NFC, the systems embarked with the smartphones. The objective of this connection is of a share to profit from pooled and ergonomic Man-machine Interfaces, and another share to bring to the objects off-line a footbridge towards Internet. These modules will be simply adaptable to the majority of the systems embarked according to a process patented in 2014 by KEOLABS.
The consortium consists of five partners: KEOLABS, STMicroelectronics (Rousset), Gemalto, ISEN-Toulon and the LIG-INP. Lastly, an advisory panel undertaken will take part in the specifications and the tests of the solution. IoTize meets specific needs of the market of the IoT by a comprehensive solution of the microcontroller to waiter Internet. It is characterized by its facility D integration in most embarked systems, often not claiming neither software development, nor material development. A unit software tools will allow adaptation to the applications embarked by configuration of the solution. The other characteristics of IoTize are:
- a high level of total security;
- a nonpermanent and voluntary Internet access;
- a range supplements modules optimized in the face and consumption;
- the possibility of using the solution in maintenance and debug.
The first targets of IoTize are PMEs and ETIs which will reach the functions of IoTize without heavy developments (Android, Internet). The search for IHM of quality corresponds to the market of the equipment, instrumentation and certain sectors general public like the Smart House.
IoTize will create for Keolabs a new activity by the sale of the modules in volume. GEMALTO will market complementary services using of the secure elements adapted to the IoTize modules. For STMicroelectronics, IoTize will reinforce the market of memories NFC and will prepare the new generation of components dedicated to IoT.
