Inverse Methods of Treatment in Living Imaging.
We have shown the potential of image reconstruction methods based on the inverse problem approach and applied to medical and biological imaging cases. Our algorithms, like blind deconvolution, were initially developed for a very different domain (astronomy). We propose to carry out the research and development (R & D) needed to improve, adapt and evolve these methods in the context of living imaging (X-ray imaging, tomography and confocal microscopy in particular). At the same time and in order for the algorithms developed to be effectively used by physicians and biologists, our goal is to develop software accessible to non-specialists in signal processing. To promote the development of new algorithms, the development software platform will be pooled between laboratories and industrial partners according to a free software model. Nevertheless the interfaced software and related services will be marketable.
