The NEXSAFE project aims to create an RFID-based solution that can be sold and installed, in particular in all nuclear power generation plants and in industrial installations at risk, such as Seveso facilities classified as chemical or petrochemical. chemistry.
In collaboration with a specialist manufacturer of RFID chips and solutions and CEA LIST and Leti laboratories, the NexSafe project aims to develop a solution for access control and protection of intelligent personnel dedicated to harsh industrial environments. Anyone carrying this badge can be detected within 10 m by a beacon placed in the heart of a risk zone, and the badge will warn the wearer by a light and a buzzer that it is in a zone. at risk.
This solution will be simple to install and use and will significantly increase the level of security of these environments and will comply with the specific standards of the “constrained” environments (ATEX, resistance to ionizing radiation, …).
It will enhance the reliability of existing human processes and operations to prevent risks that could lead to serious accidents.
It will thus ensure the safety of personnel working in unsupervised risk areas on a continuous basis.
